OLW-11 "Be Funny"

Just a quick post to participate in Susan's OLW challenge this week. This sentiment from Rosie's Roadshow is one of my favorites, and the image from American Art Stamps is one I've paired with it before in a previous layered card post. I used Copics for coloring (very lightly and with little shading so it wouldn't bleed through the card). I had a difficult time photographing and editing this, and the coloring still does not look like the original. I promise I did a much better job of blending than it appears. Whatev . . . (borrowed from Meg's entry this week lol)

Thanks for the visit.

Hugs,

Colleen

Fold-Over Card

I'm not sure if this is considered a tri-fold card, an envelope card, fold-over card or something else entirely, but I'm going with "fold-over". The portion of the card that is the flap was stamped (Magenta) and colored with Copics. The "Simple Thanks" is from Stampin' UP!, and the flower is cut from Papertrey Ink's Berry Sorbet card stock using an old Zip-e Cut die. The base card stock is Blush Blossom also from SU, and the green bling is Hero Arts. I cut a small slit in the card front where the flap point, when inserted, secures the card closed. I'm so loving the combination of Copic Colors, R30, R32, and R35 used on this card, that I should probably order the refills today lol And I love the pairing of PTI Berry Sorbet and SU Blush Blossom so much that I placed a last minute order for 2 packages of the Blush Blossom before SU discontinued it. I probably should've ordered more . . .

Thanks for the visit today.

Hugs,
Colleen

OLW10

This has to be the fastest card ever! It took no time at all to stamp the Pledge of Allegiance (from Stampabilities) in SU! Night of Navy on white card stock. Then adding the fireworks (stamp from Hero Arts) by stamping off SU! Riding Hood Red and adding the bit of bling with the Copics was all it took. And I must say, I'm quite happy with the result. Wish they all came together so quickly lol

A Happy Independence Day on Sunday to my American readers, and a Happy Canada day to any Canadian viewers.

Hugs,

Colleen
